Predictive Effect of Adolescents' Body Cathexis on General Self-efficacy and The Use of Instagram

This research aims to investigate whether adolescents' body-cathexis predicted general self-efficacy by using Instagram. The study employs correlational model and was conducted with a total of 790 students, including 503 women 207 men. Body-Cathexis Scale General Self-efficacy were used collect data. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) item analysis (item correlation Cronbach Alpha) for the reliability validity scales. Data analysed utilizing Descriptive statistics, Pearson hierarchical regression analysis. findings show that initiating resilience sub-scales scores are at good level. Persuasion subscale is medium level participants have positive body-cathexis. relationship between use Instagram together explained 12% change in self-efficacy. Accordingly, while has significant effect on self-efficacy, no alone. According analysis, moderator role As result, it important adolescents develop personality, self-confidence as well cope negative emotions.
